Building a project with an identity is not easy. Keeping it afloat, even less so. But making it up without giving up who you are is the real challenge.

A few days ago, a report was published in Actualidad Económica, the economic magazine of El Mundo, which analyzes in detail the evolution and vision of Transcoma Grupo Empresarial. I am grateful for the opportunity to stop and put into words everything that one experiences from the inside.

Transcoma Grupo Empresarial is not a company born from an imported model or from a large inherited structure. It is the result of looking at the logistics-maritime sector from a different perspective: with proximity to the customer, flexibility in processes and a comprehensive vision of services. What we offer goes far beyond transportation: we build tailor-made solutions that accompany each player in the logistics chain from origin to destination, with a 360º view.

We have gone through difficult times (like so many companies), but we decided to face them without losing our way. During Covid’s toughest period, we prioritized people, avoided layoffs, and opted to resist with intelligence. Today we are still here, with more determination than ever and with a solid international projection, but with our feet firmly planted on our values. 

I deeply believe in the value of doing business with coherence. No fireworks. Without shortcuts. Betting on talent, on training and on real growth that generates opportunities. Not only for us, but for the environment in which we operate.

From my position as CEO, I feel the responsibility not only to consolidate Transcoma Grupo Empresarial, but also to contribute to the development of a strategic sector for Spain. The maritime-port industry not only moves goods; it moves economy, employment, and innovation. And that is where I believe that all of us, companies, institutions, and professionals, can do more. Not only to compete, but to build. Not only to grow, but to contribute.

Because at the end of the day, leadership is not about holding a position. It is to be clear about the mark you want to leave.
